Sometimes it’s the small things that cause problems…

We’ve had a ton of rain lately – which reminds me that May is a transition month… we’re not quite out of Spring, yet.  Maybe you are like me and you have been avoiding some household chores that might be piling up?

Well, it’s not too late to tend to some ‘Spring Cleaning’ if you haven’t gotten around to it yet.  One of the reasons why I avoid attacking my chore list is the belief that my ‘Spring Cleaning’ list isn’t really that important anyway.  WRONG!

Actually, sometimes it’s the small things that can really cause problems.  If you’re like me and you need a friendly reminder to get at it – here is a resource to help you get started.

I hope you find it helpful.  Just think if you get your chores done now –  you can go out and play when its Summer. Happy Cleaning.

What all of us can learn from Cambria USA…

Recently, Chris and I attended the Gold Coast Builders Association, Builders Showcase Housing Summit, which was a truly enlightening experience for us – at least when we met this vendor.  We were attracted by a banner for their exhibit advertising a unique financing program – but our take away was so much more.  Not only did we get a thorough presentation about the vendor’s product – natural quartz, but we also got a lesson on passion.

This family owned business runs on passion – if nothing else.

Their so passionate about who they are and what they do that they have burst right out of the mold of traditional marketing.  Businesses who understand the sticky nature of storytelling, and use it effectively, can win over their customers for life.  Almost any information that we receive through the packaging of a story is guaranteed to increase our ability to retain that information.

We are simply built to understand through storytelling.  Well this company, Cambria USA, has taken this concept way further than I have ever seen before – and I love it!

I’m also a huge fan of period drama’s so maybe I’m biased as well.  Check them out at and watch their story – which they have made into a full out film experience.  What all of us can learn from Cambria USA is that we need to be passionate about who we are and what we do.

Passion is contagious.

Oh, by the way, I learned all about the manufacturing process of quartz – and what it takes to qualify as natural quartz – and that Cambria natural quartz is a 100% American made product.  And I promise – Chris and I won’t be making a full-on period drama about EB STONE REALTY just in case you were worried.

Your Realtor doesn’t just open the door…

I became a licensed real estate salesperson when I was 19 years old.  And you could say that I was in the business since middle school.  I remember walking to my mother’s office after school waiting until it was time to call it a day.  That’s pushing 35 years of industry exposure to say the least.  And although the technology has evolved from real estate offices having racks of keys to peoples homes to provide access for buyers to view – to using electronic lockboxes – the role of the salesperson hasn’t changed.

Your Realtor doesn’t just open the door – that’s the least of what they do.

Their primary function is to be a knowledgeable expert on real estate contract law, a fierce negotiator on your behalf, and a consummate politician – since real estate is a relationship business.  Since, what feels like the beginning of time in our industry we’ve been combating a false narrative of the service we provide – Realtors don’t sell houses.

Realtors are managers of most people’s most expensive financial investment they will ever make.

Which makes sense since our industry is highly regulated and requires extensive licensing to practice.  All this being said – there will still be the select few that might think Amazon’s newest product might be the end of the so called “door openers” that some might ascribe us to be – I think not.
